Did I mention that I listened to these almost exclusively as audiobooks?
I did. And the narration was, to put it plainly, purely brilliant. Dude knocked it out of the park.
In fact, the narrative voice was so strong that when I picked up a paper copy of the book so I could read it faster. (I read about 5 or 6 times faster off the page.) The narrator's voice stuck with me in my head, like when you read some text next to a picture of Morgan Freeman.
So yeah. Not just some excellent books. But excellent audio production as well.

We are avid audiobook listeners...this is seriously one of the best! Listening to Darrow as he tells the story from a "Red" point of view, but hearing him out in the world speaking like a "Gold" is unreal.
There is a scene in Golden Son where Darrow's Red-self and his Gold-self are arguing back and forth inside his head (almost like he's going mad) and Tim Gerard Reynolds is able to give such life to this dialogue. It's so captivating.
These books are so packed with emotion and go nonstop from start to finish, Mr. Reynolds totally does it justice. I've listened to these books three times since March. (Don't even ask how many times I've listened to KKC.... Wise Man's Fear is currently on play in my Audible App!)

While I agree that Tim Gerard Reynolds is phenomenal as Darrow (particularly the inner-voice parts), I sometimes had a hard time with some of the dialogue. I kind of wished TGR would throw his voice around a little more between all the different characters, especially female ones.
Though, like earlier mentioned, his Ragnar voice was terrific.

I agree all three of these books were amazing as audio and the voices stayed with me while reading off the page
Saludos.

Im listening to the audiobooks aswell, and agree, Tim Gerard Reynolds is doing an amazing job narrating :)
the AB of these are EPIC and I listen to them all the time! Absolutely the best AB I have listened to and I listen to a LOT o AB.
I'm listening to them all on Audible and I couldn't agree more. The way he switches back an forth from a Red vaguely Scottish accent to a Gold Aristocratic accent is brilliant! Love it.
Attacking someone because you disagree with their reading preferences and writing style...stay classy
You’re so right. And I hate audiobooks. But this narrator killed every part of it, switching accents from Red Darrow to Gold Darrow, and entitle unique, very subtle differences for each AND EVERY CHARACTER! How the hell you have that man distinct voices in your head I’ll never understand.
A gifted narrator for a perfect series.
It’s only rivaled by another series I love...I believe it’s called King Killer Chronicles or something like that.

Have been subscribed to Audible for 2 yrs now, these are the best I've encountered so far. Seeing many are bored with the narrative style of the book, I encourage them to listen to the audio version instead.
I have to agree, and at the end of the first book, well let's just say it have me chills!! Can't recommend this enough.
I am an audiobook listener. Personally, I did not connect with Tim Gerard Reynolds' narration thus far. That being said, since I speak French, I find the French version performance by Pierre-Henri Prunel amazing.
I am also listening to these on audiobook! An amazing performance to listen to but that being said I thought Darrow’s name was DARYL for the entirety of the first book lol.
The narrators ability to switch accents and when to switch accents was so unbelievable! He knows exactly what he’s doing!
