Dead Until Dark (Sookie Stackhouse, #1)

3.5 stars rounded up. I enjoyed this much more than I thought I would. I’m not a fan of smut at ALL, so I was expecting this to be a straight up romance novel. I’m happy to report that it was definitely literary enough to appeal. The world that the author created is fascinating and I’m loving learning more about it. On to the next!

I can't read about vampires because descriptions of any of it make me sick. Fortunately for me, I found two Charlaine Harris series that aren't about them and "Real Murders" is great.

haha, aww! i am a vampire/supernatural fan long as it's not something terribly cheesy like Twilight! Have you read her Aurora Teegarden series? They made a series of it on Hallmark, it looks really good.

Yes, Aurora's series is called "Real Murders", after her club. I have caught a few of the films and love them! Canadian made, baby and our Yannick Bisson, from "Murdoch", is hot! I try not to watch any more of novels I am not at yet. You bet that I will watch for them on the satelite dish after I read more of them.
That one is standard mystery, serious enough to be a step up from being "cozy", at least the novels. I was glad the film didn't go as sad or gruesome as the first story did. There is another series that is paranormal regarding spirits and I wish there were more than there are. I look forward to reading them, Jess.
