Read 3 times. Last read January 2, 2018 to January 11, 2018.
I saw the first movie and didn't understand anything. Too much action for me! But this retold version is quite different from the movies, because the story takes place after the Vietnam War. Then now I completely understood this abridged version from the original book (with MP3). I studied German at the university 30 years ago and I thought this language was very difficult, but learning English is also very difficult, but I'll succeed.

The movie has very little to do with the plot of Ludlum’s original novel, I gather. There was an earlier TV adaptation also called The Bourne Identity which I’ve seen; I haven’t read the novel yet but I’m told that earlier adaptation- whose plot is a much cleverer take on the “assassin without a memory” idea- is much closer to it.

That's on my to-read list. I saw the movie first, too. The book is always better and more accurate. Glad you liked this!
