Wow. I mean... WOW.
5 stars.
Not a whole lot going on in terms of plot - coming of age, sexuality discovery of Nate with one of his hot roommates - Eric.
It's also college, so I was slightly worried it would be too YA.
BUT LORD! It was def NOT YA. It was very mature in terms of the intensity of emotions, the maturity of the two guys' personalities... Eric is SUCH a bad ass (no pun intended). Sexy, calm, collected, but deep-feeling, protective, loyal. Even tho the whole book was from Nate's POV, I could almost hear Eric's thoughts, feel his feelings. And they were STRONG. You knew just from the little bit he does show and say that he loves Nate. That he's patiently waiting for Nate to love him back. And I really fell in love with Eric for it.
Nate was engaging too. He's no wuss. He might not entirely know what he's getting into, but he doesn't run away from it. He confronts his sexuality, he blurts things out at inappropriate moments, but that's what I like about him - he's "pure." When he's in, he's all in. And he's comfortable enough in himself and who he is that he's not afraid to own it. He just needs someone special to give him time and patience and show him that he's worth waiting for. And that person is Eric.
What can I say? I gobbled up every single word!! I didn't sleep much last night even tho another book totally put me in a slumberous mood! This book woke up right back up and certainly worked me up too.
90% explicit sex, folks, so whoever is looking to try should be forewarned. But it's HOT explicit sex. Heavy with emotion and connection and intensity. And I might have overdosed on the eroticism but I LOVED IT!!
Not sure if I'll be coming back for more soon. It's exhausting to be turned on for hours and hours on end! :P
Highly recommend for readers who are fans or potential triers of M/M romance.

Thanks, Deb! Forewarned tho - this is likely the ONLY book by this author that I will read. (Maybe). It's really not one of those books I can stand to read more than once - it's just too much on the eroticism part (but it sure melted my panties the first time around :P)
Roflmbo.
I like stories that melt my panties!
I'm very surprised you loved it that much.
But so glad you did!

I was in the mood... I'm sure if I plugged my brain into reality for a sec, I would find all the fluids, etc. gross (reminds me of I think one of your reviews about yucky bodily fluids etc.) BUT I did not plug my brain when I read it, so I loved every word!

Roflmbo.
The one your talking about was not that there was body fluids, but that they waited long enough for fluids to dry to get into certain other sexual behaviour. So I guess you could say it was 'dry, flaky body fluids' that grossed me out considering what she did with dry flaky body fluids.

Ikr!
I mean come on!
If it's been long enough for the fluids to dry......
Just NO. Wash that thing. Male and female 'skank'

I admit I was grossed out.
This was on top of the fact they were in the middle of a massive 'Wrong Time' for sex! Literally had a bad guy in the house with them and he knew it! I was 'WTH & WTF?'. Both TSTL.
I was also disappointed because the story had been really good and funny up to that point.
From that point on the book went down hill
