Guys, I had a really good time reading this one. I'm way out of the intended demographic, but color me pleasantly surprised that this was leaps and bounds above Twilight, although I'm not here to hate on those books. As far as YA books go, this one featured one of my favorite platonic female friendships, and I'm thrilled for the portrayal of girls supporting girls as a way to build up lady power, instead of every female vying for attention in meaningless competition. Part of me wants to write a longer review, but a greater part of me just wants to bask in how much I adored this and move on to the next installment. <3

Also, the movie sucked. But I am so excited to watch the new show!

Cortney Walton I really enjoyed these. I hope you do too. :)

Mai I didn't love 1 but I remember getting into 2-6. I ended up liking the boy Rose didn't end up with so some of it fell flat for me.

◬❍Nastja❍◬ Love this series, as well as her Georgina Kincaid UF. Enjoy!

Thanks girl!

Ellen Gail I’ve read the first two and I was pretty skeptical going on, but I had a lot of fun!

Ah so glad I'm not the only one who missed this series back in the day! :)

Megan I started this series recently myself and should be picking up the third sometime really soon! I must say though, I’m so glad you’re late to the party on this too so I don’t feel so alone. 😂

James Hayward I really enjoyed the whole series of books. The follow up series of books Bloodlines is even better well worth reading them all one after the other

Thank you so much! I've noticed some of those points between Dimitri and Rose as well, but honestly, I love it. I'm excited to see how the series progresses!

Kim Kaso Some of the most entertaining and enjoyable reads every for me are designated as YA. I read “Twilight” before it became a “thing”, I loved this series. To me, YA is just a convenient category for the marketing department; for me, a good story is a good story, and I remember all the feelings I had as a teen, they speak to a part of me just as books with older people speak to me now. I really enjoyed the VA series.

Maggie ☘ The movie was so bad, my god! VA is pretty otstanding in the YA paranormal cathegory.

I couldn't agree more, Kim! I've always had a soft spot for YA books of any kind, perhaps because that is when I truly discovered my deep love of reading during that time of life.
