really liked it
bookshelves: library, mad-about-series-challenge, marriage-of-convenience, redeemed-hero, western, widow

I chose to read this series because book 1 had a virgin hero, my fave; but book 2 was even better.

Though both Sam and Sarah has experienced physical intimacy, neither knew emotionally intimacy. I like marriage of convenience stories where the H and h both choose to try to make the marriage work. Sarah started with a list of rules and chose to love her husband Sam because it was one of the rules; but what I really enjoyed about this story was seeing these two truly fall in love with each other despite each of their faults. In the end, they made each other not only happier with love but also better people.

Susanna Fair with Brazen Hair Yess! So happy you liked this one, my favourite in the series so far! I really liked book one too, specially Carter "be my wife all my life" (I remember reading that line and gasping aloud, lol). But Sam... Oh, dear. What a dreamboat. The way he respects her choice of waiting to be with him until she is comfortable... Sigh.
