it was ok

an odd case in which the book is not better than the movie. in fact, it is much worse.

Paul sally, make your own opinions of the book. you might like it

message 3: by S (new) - added it

S You most likely watched the movie first

Luke I would have to respectfully disagree, I watched the movie first and found the plot of the book to be just as thrilling. It also adds in details the movie could not fit into the script that are very insightful.

message 5: by (new) - rated it 5 stars

Hà Đức Never watch the film before reading the book!!!

Géraldine It's different.... I prefered the film too. But the book gives details which are not in the film.

Brad Gerald Kevin Would have to strongly disagree, the book was much more detailed and enjoyable to read. While Anthony Hopkins was a perfect Hannibal Lecter, the movie I felt was rushed and sloppy compared to the book.

Morbus Love how this is considered a “review.” Would love to know more.

Ivan 2 stars because it was worse than the movie ? 190 likes ? Wut. The book is minimum 4 stars. It's the same level as the movie but even better because it has more scenes and information that doesn't include in the movie. By your opinion every movie that is better than a book then the book deserves 2 stars?

Anr706 The Silence of the Lambs movie is much better than the book. The book is just ok.

Other superior movies include Jaws, The Godfather, Shawshank Redemption, Blade Runner, LA Confidential, Psycho, Stand By Me, The Princess Bride, and Planet of the Apes.

Saghar The movie was great not denying it but I just love the little details that I can get from the book. It's like we can stay in the story longer. But this is an exception for me and I love the movie as much as I love the book.

Amber Clark this book was mediocre at best but people just don't want to admit it

message 13: by Dean (new) - rated it 4 stars

Dean What an insightful review

message 14: by Rosa_K.C (new)

Rosa_K.C I was looking for the answer to whether it's better than the movie or not. Thank you!

message 15: by Rose (new)

Rose There is not a lot of difference between the two, but the book has the edge as there are more details. Also, you learn more about the characters, like Jack Crawford and some backstory to Jame Gumb.

Bailey i also disagree - having put off the film until reading the book

Thai Khac Duy can you elaborate on that pls

Anthony I completely disagree with you and I would really love to know how you’ve come to this conclusion?

Borislava Bodicheva disagree! i can’t even remember the movie when i watched it that much but the book?! hell, yeah. so many more details, backstories etc. it’s sm better than the movie in my opinion. i wonder tho, what made u think movie was better? maybe Anthony Hopkins? cause he played his role the best, yet you can’t say movie is better….

Khala Grace That's quite the review. What about the narrative did you not like? When writing reviews, one cannot simply say: "A great read!" Or "That sucked!"

One needs to detail Why a book receives the rating.

Elizabeth Tye Did you even read it?

Luciana Farfan evidentemente no lo leíste.

Karlos Book is waaay better. BUT, the movie cast and crew did a great job adapting to film. I really wish they changed Anthony Hopkins eye color, but I can understand why they didn’t.

Amanda This "review" makes zero sense. The book is extremely detailed and explains how real- life forensics works, while the movie is a cheap thriller. How much of the book did you read?

Adryan Brian gotta be trolling
