I enjoyed this more than the Life of Bees but I sadly couldn’t connect with the characters in this book either. Kidd is s good author but I doubt I’ll read more of her books for a while now.
The book was sadly not memorable and I don't have much to say about it, so I will be skipping writing a review for this one especially since several months passed and I barely remember anything about it (I was very busy and didn’t have time to review several books. I’m trying to review every book I read this year but I’ll be skipping this one I suppose).
As for the audio’s narration, it was good, this format is recommended.

I read this back in 2014 and didn’t find it very good either. Pretty meh :(

Hope your next one is a winner, Nicole!
All of her books are so different, and this one was my favorite by far. I'm actually super curious though what you'd think of The Book of Longings. Check out the synopsis and reviews for that one before you completely rule her out! xo

She's not bad just her books don't make me feel anything.
I'm glad at least the audio was good, Nicole. It sounds like you and this author aren't a good match!

Hah! Not memorable indeed. I only just discovered over here that I've already read this book in 2017- and now some things actually do ring a bell, but the only thing I remember is that I have indeed read it.So apparently, this book didn't make me feel a whole lot. I gave it 3 stars and no review, so I guess I thought it was written okay but overall unemotional.
