I thought Billy and Daisy were both annoying, and for very different reasons. But I don't think any of them were inherently bad people. They were both people who felt abandoned by their parents, so they took control of their lives in very different ways. That's why they were able to sing and harmonize so well together, because of their similar experiences.
I think they were both sensitive, emotional people who tried to protect their hearts, but ultimately ended up denying themselves the very thing they deserved to give themselves more of: Grace, love, compassion and forgiveness.
