Well, what a wild ride that was. Had a dark 90s YA vibe without any redeeming kind art/english teacher presence. I just had to chuckle to myself -- one of the main plot points is that everyone the narrator has sex with dies. Ah high school. Very angsty and I liked the coyote-heavy scenes. Had to skim a lot of the weird language about seeing bodies floating in water/ the visions. "Girls" meets "Just Kids" meets "Speak."
