I was immedietly intrigued when I saw the blurb, obsessed-psychotic-heroine?

I have read MANY books where it was the role reversal, but the heroine being the obsessed-psychotic one?
Nada.
When I went into this, I didn't expect the crime and mystery to take such a forefront in the story, and I am not gonna lie, I was at times lost because I don't get what was going on- which is why I vehemently avoid books that are about mystery and crime. I am terrible at following the story.
However, because of the attention the author put to the crime-solving and killing section of the story, it DID made me appreciate and enjoy the scenes between Bianca and Theo even more because of it.
Every time Theo did anything for Bianca or when they have a heart-to-heart talk, I just swoon so much.
This book was ugly, messy, dirty, and yet it still blossoms, and I am completely enraptured by the characthers
Their relationship development happening while in the midst of finding Jimenez was just chef's kiss.
It was the way the Author insert those scenes that made me enjoy the book so much.
It showed their feeling for each other despite being at complete odds.
I love Theo so much, like god, he was so loyal, and loyalty is so rare nowadays in romance books, even when he found out who Bianca was, he still couldn't betray her, and in the end, he fell for her once again; but this time without the smokes and mirrors.
It's super refreshing to see a non-emotional-obsessed-psychotic heroine & a hero that is actually the sane and righteous one in the relationship.
Also, the fact that he owns rescue cats?*Swoon*I don't think I have ever read a book where the heroes own so many cats that he can practically be a cat-lady
Like this author has completely converted me from loving dark-tortured-grumpy-broody heroes to want my heroes to be sweet, nice, righteous, and also save a few cats at the side.
Like I was surprised when the hero was so......dreamy
I can see why the heroine was so obsessed with him.
I am so tired of the tortured-hero image, Theo is what I want.
I am ashamed to say that there are times where I am not even paying much attention to the whole mystery-mob story, my attention is only zoomed to any Bianca & Theo's interaction.
The author HAS to give this couple a sequel, without the nitty & gritty.
I am officially having a book-hangover over them
Btw this book is hella dark, so all the triggers warning included
