I was worried that this wasn't BL enough, but there is a subtle undertow of queerness that satisfies. Struggling with his shapeshifting (bat in the daytime, human during the night), Al (Albert) seems to run into trouble. But when he meets Akira (a dark-haired loner who works as a mortician), things start to change...slowly. Akira is unused to company, though he loves bats oddly enough. As Al learns Japanese and starts to chip away at Akira, some like friendship (or companionship) emerges. This manga is well drawn and the plot is steady. I actually bought all four volumes at once, and, so far, i'm not regretting it!
