I feel a little late to the club reading this now. I did want to understand more fully understand what happened the last time we had a recession, especially now that we keep hearing about how there might be another one impending. I found the book informative but it did feel kind of dry and boring at points. I also kind of wish more time had been spent on the people who created the situation versus those who where able to realize what was going on and capitalize off of the crash.

Glen Better late than never. I'm always at least two years behind what everybody else is reading.

Andrew Thats...not the point of the book. It's called the Big Short. It's whole focus is the point of view of those who were calling out the wrongness of the financial markets the entire time.

Those who were actually at fault for creating these monstrous financial devices would never give interviews and the information would be impossible to track down.

yue The author offered insights into who he thinks created "the monster" aka the broken financial system. It might be interesting to read his book about his own experiences on the wall street in Liar's Poker.
