The first book pushed all my happy buttons... this didn't. I loved Raziel and Conquest's romance.... War and Uriel's was lackluster. Their push and pull should have chemistry and burn the pages but it didn't.

Mostly I had issues with Uriel. For someone that supposedly still felt deeply the loss of his family he was easily dismissive of mortals and whatever happened to them for the sake of the greater good that was never said what exactly it was but followed blindly for it and did things leaning towards despicable just because "God" asked it of him. What got to me though mostly was the fact that even when he had all the puzzle pieces he was still not seeing the picture when it came to him and War. And the fact that he was still willing to follow after everything, after he was used as a puppet for a purpose he knows nothing about... *siiigh* he annoyes me but boy did he have chemistry with War.

When the ILUs came I was surprised because in neither POV did we had glimpses of them feeling more than the right now. So how they got there was muddled.

A lot of War and Uriel's history is also muddled. I'm guessing what happened with Samael, the Generals and purgatory moving to Hell is going to be explained in the next book but doesn't Uriel know? Why was he so easily against the Horsemen and regarding them as enemies, even though War threw to his face that when they were called from them all was a-ok?

Also gotta say that when they were in the Dead Dimension I thought that it was the dimension from which the flashbacks were coming from, so that was a nice little confusing part that didn't clear up till the end.

Anyways... the next one promises to be a doozy and I can't wait for Death's book because we have no info whatsoever hinted for him.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Hey ^^ War can dirty talk!!! But yeah icy hot mess is Uriel's tagline!!

Teeny 🖤Ayanna🖤 wrote: "Dirty talk you say👀? Well now, guess I will be reading War regardless of Uriel’s clownery 🤡. Can’t wait for Famine to come out in June I think it said on Amazon?"

End of June and yeah! I'm curious about how she'll bring back Samael! But what I want most is Death because not a pip has been hinted in any of the books!

Yeap exactly!!! For all the mystery surrounding him my expectations are high and I hope I won't be disappointed.

Teeny Yes!!! And he is far from stable as we see more in book 2... but things get messed up, that's why I'm wondering how Sienna will fix whatever the heck is seriously wrong there.
