The story of the heavy armored vehicle that falls off a cliff and cripples a young lieutenant for life because there's no trail to drive on really sums up the hopelessness of the war in Afghanistan. I read the hardcover version last year, but I just picked up a clean paperback copy at the local library book sale. I'll try to expand my review at a later date.
