the hero kept telling the heroine at the beginning of the book that they couldn't fuck around because she's his son's ex-girlfriend and there's a 19 year difference between them. Does that stop the heroine? Absolutely not
She researches dom/sub relationships and decides "I wanna do that 👍" basically my logic after I read 50SOG one fucking time back in 2015💀
The heroine waits for the hero to come home and when he walks into the room...he FINDS HER ON HER KNEES-

Ah man I hate how you feel this strongly about it because the second half of the book won me over. The beginning was just so annoying to me BUT I think overall, I liked it. I do think the female lead was a bit irritating but it won me over eventually (the smut didn’t get boring too which is good). What does GR mean? I stalked your profile a little to see if our preferences are similar which kinda are… one that stood out to me is I struggled to like the first Haunting Adeline book from the cat and mouse series which you kinda agree with me (from look at your review) BUT you rated the second book good so I’m curious to read it. Sorry about the lack of proper sentences I’m just quickly word vomiting my feelings. Hopefully you don’t mind my waffling but yeah lol have a nice day

Oxalisaox, the second half was definitely better than the first! The first half was full of too much cringe and I personally cannot handle any form of embarrassment. You should totally read the 2nd book in the cat and mouse series. A piece of advice is it's EXTREMELY dark. There's a lot of scenes that may make you squeamish if you're not used to reading stuff like that. Book 2 was absolutely better than 1 tho
Okay I’ll pull through. The first book is just kinda immature sometimes with the “murdering people jokes”. The first book is kinda dark in itself, I’m concerned as to how much darker it could get lol
