DNF

Unfortunately, it's time to bid farewell to this book and the series. It was tedious and lacking any clear direction, making it a struggle to reach even 20%. The summary of the previous books was overwhelming.

Sadly it's a farewell from me.

Blackheartbella Yeah I’m debating on quitting. Came to reviews to help me decide.

Hannah I thought this too. It was very repetitive

Ashley I’m struggling to finish and I’m only on page 100. The rambling is just too much.

Nadine I pushed through because I needed to know what happened and well it took me a whole week to get through it. Was a huge let down!

Taylor Gilbow I agree I so badly wanted to DNF this book but I loved all the rest and pushed through. I wish I wouldn’t have.

Hannah Branson I have less than hour left of the audio book — I had to finish it, but it wasn’t worth it

Bridgette Luken I’m so lost reading this book. There’s too many story lines and plot points.

Maddie Reads Thrills & Chills I finished it only because it's the last book, but it was difficult. You didn't miss anything.

Mish I was SO excited for this one and it just went on and on…the ending was underwhelming for me.

Jennifer Fiscus Agreed, it’s so repetitive. How many times can grace say ‘do I love him? Of course. Do I love both Vega brothers? Absolutely. But I will persevere and be with Hudson. Like stfu

Sierra I feel the same way. It is very repetitive, especially with how many times she reiterates that Hudson and Grace love each other. I’m trying to finish the Audio book but it’s just bad. Farewell to this series.

Anna Bishop i had to start it like three times before it actually stuck and i got through it so i understand

April Mills It took me a month to get through it. I had no desire to finish it but did because it was the last book.

Andrea Christine I devoured the other books and I’ve been on the first 100 pages of this one for a month

Madison I DNF this book. I got to 14% and could not take it. I loved the other books and read them so quickly. I cannot handle trying to save people that are not majorly important to the plot and risking the entire world or race of people. I cannot do it. Unfortunately I will it be finishing and the comments confirm that for me.

Nicole Mcgovern Completely agree

message 17: by Addy (new) - rated it 1 star

Addy 37% in and I am struggling for this reason.

message 18: by Laura (new)

Laura M. I agree. I’m at 51% and am calling this one a DNF for me, too. I was just telling my husband that the writing has become extremely repetitive and that is a major turn-off for me. Which stinks because I greatly enjoyed the other books in the series.

Katelyn Christensen Loved the whole series but it definitely could have ended with the last one. This one was unnecessary and boring. Couldn't get through it!

message 20: by Jill (new) - rated it 3 stars

Jill Talant I read the other books in days. Absolutely loved them! This one took me 4 months. I got so annoyed. How many times can she say “my mate”? If we turned it into a drinking game, you’d be dead by chapter 20. We get it. He’s you’re mate and you love his oceanic eyes and sandalwood smell. We got that in the previous 4 books. I’m glad I finished it. But the ending was rushed compared to every other painful detail shared about her feelings about her friends and her mate.

message 21: by Anna (new) - rated it 1 star

Anna Harmon Yes, all of the above!

Rebecca Smith I agree 100%!!

message 23: by schmorireads (new) - added it

schmorireads I’m at 40% and am really sad that this one just isn’t living up to the rest.

message 24: by Erin (new) - rated it 1 star

Erin Crosby This book ruined my reading challenge…i finished the entire series in a month but this one book took me 5 months bc it was so boring. “Tedious” was definitely the right word

Rachel I loved this series but feel like i’m about to DNF this for this very reason.

message 26: by Joia (new) - rated it 1 star

Joia Hervey 40% in and I’m about to call it quits too. I absolutely cannot with this book. The rest are great but this one feels so unnecessary

message 27: by Cara (new) - rated it 5 stars

Cara I understand the many comments regarding how slow and repetitive the writing seemed at first, however, I hung in there and finally made it about 50% in when it really started to get somewhere and come together. In the end I’d say this was one favorites of the series and appreciated the ending. I would say the second half of the book redeems the first half.

Alison Yes. This. Also overused to the point of nausea: “you’ve got this.” Just make it stop.

message 29: by Joanna (new)

Joanna Yeah, I'm feeling that way. I need to find a summary so I can just find out the ending without wasting any more time on this book.

message 30: by Patti (new) - added it

Patti I am so happy I checked the comments!! I loved the rest of the books in the series - a little long winded but still good. I have yet to be able to get through this one and I rarely not finish books. Every time I try to put it on I feel like it could have been finished in the last book. Maybeee I’ll finish this one. But it may go to my first ever DNF pile.

Elisha Cupp Imo it all started epically crashing after 'birdcalls' started

Sarah Mortier Omg I felt this exact same way
