it was ok

Maybe it's because i just read Viola Davis's memoir but this just didn't do it for me. "Just think how embarrassing it would have been if this or that happened!" But it didn't and I want to hear about how you felt about what actually happened. It felt entirely like she took what happened and then turned it into a more cutesy tale. "I didn't understand who he was talking to when he called me sister during my baptism" She was very Baptist. This isn't the first time she heard people referred to as brothers or sisters. I guess I just think if you are going to tell the world that you are sharing your story with them then you are trying to be more vulnerable than this felt to me. She made you read between the lines numerous times in ways that felt like it would be easy to interpret incorrectly. Other places she shared too many details about things that seemed insignificant. Just not for me.

Jessie Thank you. I couldn't figure out what it was about this book and her writing that completely turned me off.
