This is the second book in the series, and I liked it better than the first book. That doesn’t happen everyday. I will say this one does start off a little rushed and clunky with an oath that feels like it comes out of nowhere. But after that it gets a lot better. There’s an appropriate level of groveling! There’s some really villainous villains! There’s romance! I definitely recommend checking this series out…for now anyways 😉 (I’m reserving final judgment for the final book)

I felt the same way! The first one wasn’t bad at all, but it needed something extra. This one was really good and yes! The appropriate amount of groveling.
