Notes: Poignant fights if villain-light (the foe is fairly blah), no peace of mind, just ties that bind, all weighty, rough and raw.

Notes:
(1) Finally getting to this. It's one of those trades I've had no urgency to get to, since it's technically a reread, so I've kept pushing it back.
(2) I plan to read "The Last Ronin—Lost Years" soon, and trades are always my go-to for refreshers.
- Though, "Lost Years" is a prequel so I probably don't need a refresher. Well, except for foreshadowing and Easter eggs."

Cameo: TMNT creators Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird.

Notes:
(1) Despite these being double-length issues, they really fly by.
- I think it helps that the story's been relatively simple, nothing too complicated to make sense of.
(2) I wish the villain was more formidable.
- Especially compared to Shredder and Karai, he comes off far too eccentric to be taken seriously."

Notes:
(1) I feel like the last two issues were a lot of filler. Not bad necessarily, just not much plot advancement.
- Outside of flashbacks, issue #4 was one long military battle and issue #5 was one long duel to the death.
(2) The villain still isn't formidable nor has a distinct personality.
- Using a super-suit is a cheat. Relying on it to win just makes him look weak."

Thanks! Definitely have my quibbles with it, but it's in the top tier of books I've read all year 😁👍

Reader Does this book have all 5 books in 1? Or is it just the first one in the series?
