Am sobbing over that ending, it is like my heart has been shredded 😭💔 I didn't know this would happen to both of my favourite characters. Despite everyone telling me to prepare for it, I didn't expect it to be so brutal 😭😭

Y'all am not gonna joke here but read this if you like Avengers Infinity War and Avengers Endgame 👀🤭😂

The start of the book and the ending of the book were very strong. For me, it was the middle that kinda faltered a bit in the writing and plot aspect. The plot seemed to be going in circles and the quest for the stones could have been executed more aptly. I know some of you love the writing in it, and I won't deny it was better than the first book but it still came across as ordinary. It's the characters that were the clear winners for me in this book.

That saying, Jacks and Evangeline are such an angsty couple. I loved reading their conflicts, that yearning yet denying each other, the vulnerability especially when it came to Jacks. Jacks was pouring out his emotions in this one subtly, and even without saying anything 🤌🤌 Eva, naive as always needs to stop being a pushover fr 😭 She forgives too easily. Her character is certainly flawed but so is Jacks. Yet, the two together are such a powerful couple. The romance is such a good slow burn, some of the steamy moments had me gasping.

Apollo and Luc were okay-ish, also Apollo at the end is making me wanna punch him so bad🥲🥲 But Chaos as the supporting character was chef's kiss. I need more of him 😩😩 The man is HOT🔥🥵 LaLa was kinda meh.

Am so invested in the story, that ending is going to be in mind for days. Cannot wait for the next book 😩
