the first christopher brookmyre book i’ve read and i enjoyed it!! the conflict of science vs. religion was so interesting and i love the rich and varied ensemble cast of characters. i really struggled with the scientific dialogue in some scenes though - i have no knowledge or interest in any type of physics so i mostly skimmed/glossed over the chapters set in the military base. nevertheless i really enjoyed the writing style and would definitely like to check out the author’s other work!
