This is a very convicting read! This book essentially lays out the difference between following Jesus and going to church or being someone who identifies as a Christian. It takes an open mind to finish! I do recommend this book and I would be shocked if anyone reads this and isn’t convicted. So know that it will be a hard read about taking a good long look into your heart. The author uses touching stories from Scripture, his experiences, and other peoples experiences.
I greatly appreciated how the author is just an ordinary guy who didn’t go to seminary and doesn’t claim to be an expert theologian. Instead he praises the Scriptures - that are able to teach, correct, and shape anyone who comes to them humbly - and his study of them over his walk with Jesus as the source of his claims.
