I read this for the Book Riot Read Harder Challenge category of middle grade horror. And middle grade horror is about all I can take in the horror genre so it is a win from that perspective. It is the story of three siblings who for unexplained reasons are spending the summer with their aunt who drops them off at a gothic and creepy (bordering on horror but this is MG) water park. One sibling goes missing and the other two try to find her and figure out the mystery behind the water park’s low attendance and disappearing employees. It was a fast read and I enjoyed the three siblings’ characters but the story left the reader with many unanswered questions about siblings’ parents and their aunt, for example (maybe it is the beginning of a series that will answer them). Still a good way to satisfy that category.
