I know Elin and Nancy Thayer and so many other authors adore this one! But I spoke with some of the staff at Mitchell’s Book Corner in Nantucket today and they weren’t for it at all. I was surprised! But it’s still on my TBR, so thanks for the heads up! 🩷
I loved it but it’s definitely not a typical light beach read. I also think some of us *older* readers may relate to Rocky more than others.
Loved it! The narrator in the audio book version was perfect!
I had this in my hand at the bookstore today, then put it back. Thanks for the review, now I will go back and purchase it.
I wasn't too sure about first-person, present tense, at first but it worked really well.

You are right, it may not be for everyone, but it definitely spoke to me. Sometimes I felt the author was totally in my head.
Totally get what you mean about the writing style! But it's growing on me.
I’m 70% through this on audio and it’s delightful!! As a pre-menopausal woman I am just loving Rocky!
This is a book i may have otherwise looked past. The audible version was so well done and I loved it quite a bit.
