Loren: One of my all-time favorite female leads! 🌟 She manages to keep her sweet, kind personality while also becoming fiercely independent and standing up for herself. 💪 I adore how she respects and loves Darian, always wanting to be there for him no matter what. ❤️

Darian motherfreaking CASSEL: This man has my entire heart! 💖 He goes through absolute hell in this book, fighting countless battles just to love a woman. His respect and unwavering love for her are off the charts. 📈 He’s the epitome of “I will burn the freaking world for you and protect you until the end of time. 🔥 Even if you tell me to stop, I’ll still love you.” 💘

🌎 World Building & Magic for Fantasy
I love how the world expanded beyond the main city, giving us more depth and insight into the magic system. 🪄 It was introduced so smoothly, without feeling like an info dump. 📚

♥️ What I Loved
At first, I was unsure how the story would unfold because the first book felt like it could’ve been a standalone. 📖 But boy, did this book deliver on romance, character development, and plot! 💥 Was it a tad too long? Probably. Did I devour it within a week? Absolutely! 😋 My heart ached and physically hurt throughout Loren and Darian’s journey. 💔 The last 200 pages were so intense I felt like I couldn’t breathe or function until I finished it. 😮 Normally, I lose interest when characters get together, but this book kept me hooked with its engaging and tension-filled love story. 🎢

💔 What I Didn’t Like
We could use a bit more side character development, and at times, there was too much “other woman” drama. 😒 A little less of that would make my heart feel a lot better 😂. Also, this book could’ve been shorter. 📏

📝 Overall Thoughts
Another amazing installment in this series! 📚 It opens the door to so many more possibilities and plot-driven stories while keeping the romance beautifully intertwined. 💞 I’m diving into book 3 as soon as possible! 📖
