Read 2 times. Last read June 14, 2017 to June 18, 2017.
One of my all time favourite books, I first read this many years ago and as books have been added to the original trilogy I have re-read the whole series. I feel that IA pulled the stories together well, so the Robot novels all join with the Empire novels, what a master.
Well I re-read it again (2nd time GR officially, umpteenth time un-officially) and realise (yet again) what a marvellous book it is. Yes it is split as a collection of stories but Asimov is such a master story-teller it all hangs together so so well. Still 5 stars.

Great review! I can't wait to start on this series.
I'm sure you'll enjoy it Jen. Great series of books.
I REALLY need to go back and do a re-read of the Foundation series; it's probably been 25 years since I read them the first time and I'd love to refresh my memory.
I'm sure you would enjoy again Susan. I think I've had at least 2 re-reads and thoroughly enjoyed them both
