Dear Mr. Vaughan,
I do not know what process you go though to produce comics like these. I do not know what dark alchemy you perform, what infernal pacts you have agreed to, what terrifying drugs you must imbibe. I have no idea what arcane rituals you must perform every day, what odd odd habits of diet and exorcize you must maintain to keep your mind limber and sparking, to write things like this.
I just wanted to say, whatever it is you're doing, please keep doing it.

curious, as someone who has read this and was not as impressed as so many others seem to be, what grabs you about this story? and on a slightly related note, have you read Locke and key? because you should.
Gunner. Out of curiosity, are you a traditional comic reader? By which I mean do you mostly read superhero sutff?
Gunner, did you finish the first trade paperback? I didn't like the very very beginning as much either, but was sold by the end of it.

Dear Pat, Take as long as you need, there are plenty of other good books and rushing the third will not do it justice!
I think a significant chunk of that dark alchemy is conjured up by Fiona Staples the other storyteller and creator on this book.
What Ben said. What Fiona Staples is doing here is nothing short of amazing.
Art is storytelling in comics. People never seem to be able to grasp that.
