I was attacked by my first story in my early 30's, and it hasn't let me go yet. The more I write the bigger it gets. I am occasionally let out to write other stories, however. For anything like detail I'd suggest checking out my Bio on my website. I didn't write it, though. ...more

I don't actually have a reading list. If I trip over something that looks interesting to me I'll stop and read it, but I don't 'keep track of the market', since I don't write for the market.(less)

I’m sitting here listening to yet another vlog post, to go with all the blog posts out there, on the subject of query letters. This isn’t really surprising, since it’s one of the most difficult parts to write, no one can really tell you how to do it, and if you need a topic for your weekly blog post it’s always there.

This particular vlog post is contributing to one of the things I consider to be t

Cheryl Landmark Hi, Marc. I noticed that you have my book "Wind and Fire" on your to-read list. First of all, thank you very much for adding it!

I just wanted to let you know that the edition you have marked is no longer in print. If you go to my author profile, you'll see another version there with two hands holding fire on the cover. This is the most current edition. If you could change your edition to this one instead of the other one, that would be great. Thanks.

Cheryl Landmark Thanks for accepting my friend request, Marc. I've added "The Flame in the Bowl" to my TBR wish list.

It seems like everywhere I go, I can't turn around without getting some idea for some kind of story. Glad to know you.

Elise Crawford Hi Marc, just stopping by to get to know you and your work. I love your bio. I too was attacked by my first book and it didn't relent until I wrote it LOL. Now I have a second one chasing me, ha ha ha. I'm glad we are friends, Elise

Alan Baxter Hi Marc - good to know you here!

Marc You're welcome. My first boss in this software company I'm at now was a philosophy type as well. He turned me on to Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I hope you'll take a look at my books. I wrote Unbinding the Stone while I was going to grad school, and a lot of the concepts we were discussing then made their way into the book, although I don't think I hit the reader over the head with them.

Elise Hi, thanks for friending me. :)
