"I’m totally going to finish this. I love this series so so much. I have about 100 pages left but unfortunately I have to pick up a new copy. My beautiful little brat of a puppy ate mine months back. With only 100 pages left. I haven’t really had a chance to replace it. Sigh. Life with dogs. Lol. They drive you crazy but are 100x worth it. ❤️" Jun 14, 2020 05:39AM

Kayla Olson
“Oh, though: I should know by now that you can't always trust feelings-which is especially problematic when you can't even trust the things that masquerade as facts.
Hindsight; that's the only thing worth trusting these days.
Two roads diverge in a wood, and I-I take the one less traveled by.”
Kayla Olson, The Sandcastle Empire

V.C. Andrews
“They saw me as someone who lived entirely within herself, like some creature who moved in an impenetrable bubble, emerging only when it was absolutely necessary to say anything to anyone or do anything with anyone. But family did matter to me. It always had, and always would.”
V.C. Andrews, Bittersweet Dreams

“Your mind is stronger than your circumstances. Remember that.”
Kayla Olson, The Sandcastle Empire

Audrey Coulthurst
“Partnerships can be built, but love can't be coaxed. Love should feel like the first time you gallop a horse flat out. It should make your blood sing. It should terrify you. And some part of you should recognize it the first time you meet the other person's eyes.”
Audrey Coulthurst, Of Fire and Stars

Victoria Schwab
“People were messy. They were defined not only by what they'd done, but by what they would have done, under different circumstances, molded as much by their regrets as their actions, choices they stood by and those they wished they could undo. Of course, there was no going back - time only moved forward - but people could change.

For worse.

And for better.

It wasn't easy. The world was complicated. Life was hard. And so often, living hurt.

So make it worth the pain.”
Victoria Schwab, Our Dark Duet
