I have done quite a few jobs - including an army cook in Sherwood Forest and English teacher - and lived in a lot of places - including London, Vienna and Venice - and it took me a long time to get down to writing, but now I just see this wealth of experience as fuel for my books.
Of course, I'm into Fantasy and sc-fi, so these experiences get subtly twisted and transposed onto other eras and into other worlds. ...more

2000 AD - issue 105

I write a lot about 2000 AD, reading it as a child was a very formative experience for me, and I still read it today. I have a 2000 AD page where I link to all the issues I have talked about on this site. Judge Dredd is on the cover of issue 105, which came out way, way back on 24 March 1979.
