Ismael Manzanares es ingeniero y escritor vocacional. Le apasionan las palabras y escribe por amor a ellas, con la secreta esperanza de que algún día le correspondan. Se siente atraído por la literatura desde su infancia y en particular por la ciencia ficción y la fantasía. Le gusta imaginar historias en su vida diaria y a veces consigue capturarlas en papel. Otras veces son sus sueños e inquietudes los que encuentran un cauce en la palabra escrita, explorando temas tan variados como la identidad, la amistad, el asombro o la paternidad.

Ismael Manzanares liked an answer about Gideon the Ninth: As far as I know, the term "Lyctor" refers to some kind of herald for justice magistrates on the Roman Empire. I was wondering if this specific word was chosen because of its similarity with the term "Lich", which refers in modern fantasy to a very powerful necromancer, almost an inmortal being. Any thoughts about this? According to the notes at the back of the paperback, this is indeed the case! Wonko
