When I was watching That Time I Got Reincarnation as a Slime, There was a preview for Black Clover anime. I remembered that people were saying that it was supposed to be a Naruto knockoff couple years ago when it first came out.

But when my brother highly recommended to me to watch it, I decided to watched it. Oh mind, I started to fells in love with the show and I had been bringe-watching it until up to episode 170. And I winds up reading the manga since than.

It was surprised that when I was watching the anime that doesn't turn out to be Naruto knockoff like people were saying. I am glad that it got a more beloved fanbase.😊 It reminds me more of a cross between Lies of Locke Lamora and Harry Potter.

It took place in a world where everyone has magical powers and rides on broomsticks (Yeah, it's very similar to Harry Potter's,but Thanks goodness that didn't have magic school. Magic school is my least favorite trope.). It's about on these childhood friends that their names are Yuno and Asta. Yuno is "the chosen one" that supposed be everyone's savior like we has seen in most fantasy novels (I known people are sick of that trope. Yes, Yuno's a tropey character),but Asta is short and he didn't have any magical powers but he is just like everyone in the real life. They were brought up in a church and so they made a childhood promise to each others that one day that they becomes magic knights to reach the ranks to become the Wizard King.

I thought the magic systems are fascinating. ☺There are two magic systems in this series that's a light magic that involves spellbooks and a hard magic system that involves with Demon summoning that plays out later on in the series.

When kids reachs their sixteenth year, they receives their own spellbooks. Well, Yuno ends up receives a special spellbook (because he's "the chosen one", of course). But when he got in danger because of some Thief wanted his spellbook,but Asta has shown up and he has no spellbook of his own. He suddenly received a cursed spellbook that contains a demon that gains him a big, giant sword that allows him to cancel any magic attacks. It made Asta looks bada**!!!😆

I like it started out as a military fantasy, because the magic knights has been splits in squads and each squad members have to reach their goals to one of them become The Wizard King. But Asta struck in a squad of low ranked magic knights that hardly do nothing (like typical people,but you ends up falling in love with them throughout the series) and his friend Yuno winds up in higher rank squad. Even there's a girl named Noelle ends up joining the squad that Asta in.

I love Asta and his relationship with Noelle and the Black bulls like a family to him. You finds these characters are so relatable in real life. I am so related to Noelle and Asta's characters,because I am disabled and I have two older brothers. I thinks Asta and Noelle are adorable together. 🥰

I hope there'll be more world-building in near future,because I love the twists and turns. Tabata did fantastic job on that. It feels like you are reading fantasy novels. 🥰

I heard he was inspired by Bleach when he did this series. I am thinking that I will give Bleach and Fairy Tail a try.

I highly recommend that you guys should watch Black Clover anime then read the manga. It is wonderful series. 🥰 ...more "
