K.R. Hill is a mystery/thriller author. He left the states at a young age to satisfy a need for adventure. During a decade of travel he harvested apples in Switzerland, taught English in Germany, lived on a kibbutz in Israel, traveled atop supply trucks across Sudan, and lived in an abandoned house beside the Caribbean, where he daily spear-fished for food. While abroad, he wrote several novels and sold travel articles.

BookBub ads!

Authors, be aware, a listing on BookBub is a gamble. Yes, they have a great reputation. But they charge outrageous for that reputation. However, paying for an ad on the high-and-mighty BB, despite what most authors believe, does not guarantee success.

I recently paid $900 for the privilege of a listing with their 'New Release' ads. I was shown a chart by BB of the average number of downloads (sales Read more of this blog post »

“We danced alone, apart, without time. It was not Jade who bit or clawed my shoulders. It was the creature at the root of her being, hidden beyond the bursts of color, the quivering muscles, exposed when joy shakes the mind free of the constraints of traditional thinking and leaves it standing warm in the sunshine, naked, asking to be taught anew. It was Jade.”
Kevin R. Hill

“Writers, that deep dark secret is not something you should hide from the world. It is your gift. Take it from memory and illuminate it in literature, shake the dust from it, unless it will get you arrested, lol.”

“Travel for a writer means placing diamonds in memory.”

“If you live long enough, u\you'll make mistakes. But if you learn from them, you'll be a better person. It's how you handle adversity, not how it affects you. The main thing is never quit, never quit, never quit.

Kevin Hill To make a reader sad and feel they are leaving a good friend as they finish a book is one of the greatest gifts a writer can give.
