I loved it! I love books where many stories connect while one overarching story is occurring and that’s what you get here. The book has several moments where you have to be paying attention to understand the connections which makes it mimics the game show the character himself is going through.

I enjoyed the coming-of-age narrative and Alvarez’s lovely character descriptions. Somehow her words describe strength and fragility all at once. The beginning parts reminded me a little bit of Little Women, following the story of 4 unique sisters who love each other but also are finding their own path in life.
