Well, now I understand why books are contraband. But I still am having a hard time fathoming that a LIBRARY is the impediment to progress and knowledge...

I don't believe there's any possible way this can wrap up satisfactorily in the last bit left here. Is this a series??

He fails to realize the danger of what he proposes. Without the Library's steady guidance, this device (Gutenberg press) would allow the uncontrollable spread of not only knowledge, but folly. Imagine a world in which anyone, anywhere, could create and distribute their own words, however ignorant or flawed! And we have often seen dangerous progress that was only just checked in time to prevent more chaos.

Questions: 1. The library of Alexandria survived, and now has 'sister' libraries holding the same information. Yet, somehow, books are illegal? And have to be smuggled? I don't get it.

2. In regards to the smuggling: Running draws attention to yourself, running in packs draws more attention. Walked, calmly, like you belong seems the smartest way. So of course they run through the streets like a wild pack.
