It's no secret that Ben Affleck is big fan of the Nike SB Dunk. Whether it's the ‘Chunky Dunky’ or the ‘What the P-Rod,’ Hollywood's biggest sneakerhead even has the ‘Friends & Family’ edition of the 2021 Parra collab in his collection. But, just when we all thought he was all flexed-out, the Oscar winner pulls the legendary Nike SB Dunk Low ‘Eire’ out from the archives. And it's probably one of his biggest pick-ups to date.

If you've never heard of the ‘Eire’ before, that's probably because it's widely-regarded as one of the rarest SB Dunks of all-time. Inspired by Ireland and its fight for independence in 1916, this trainer dropped in 2006 to commemorate the 90th anniversary of this uprising. While most pairs at the time were made entirely from leather, leather and even more leather, this special version flipped the script with a full suede build that was all very soft and all very buttery.

The base is painted in off-white, and it's overlaid by panels and panels of ‘Net Green’ throughout. The logo on the tongue is decked out in ‘Deep Orange,’ and this fiery hue extends towards the Swoosh. All three of these colours come together to represent the Irish flag (or an trídhathach), and the theme is further explored with an Irish Harp that's stitched on the lateral heel. To round off this limited edition colourway, “Éire” – the Gaelic word for Ireland – is embroidered around the back instead of the usual “Nike” branding.

At this point, it's not that surprising that Affleck owns such a rare Nike release. This is the same guy who not only directed and produced 2023's Air, but also starred in it as Nike co-founder Phil Knight.

The real question is, which sneakers does he not own?
