Of course Taylor Swift is considered a fashion icon. From her Tumblr-esque energy in 2012 to her big sunglasses/tight skirt It girl aesthetic in 2015, the American singer-songwriter has undergone many, well, Eras. And now, while everyone else is going hard on quiet luxury, she's opted for something a little edgier instead. Go off, queen etc. etc. Welcome to Taylor Swift's menswear epoch.

Photographed leaving Electric Lady Music studio in New York City, Swift was seen not in cashmere sweatshirts and tailored trousers like almost every other absurdly famous person. Instead, it was a fit more on par with the NYC hypechasers: your Aimé Leon Dore boys, your Carhartt lovers and your skatewear cosplayers. That meant a ribbed black tank top, and some big cosy boy oversized pants.

A pair of ankle boots by The Row also feature (because even if you're not into stealth wealth, The Row works pretty much all of the time), and Swift topped it all off with a vintage baseball cap by Polo Ralph Lauren.

In our hearts, we always knew that Swift was a menswearhead. Earlier this summer, the Grammy Award-winning artist was spotted rocking a preppy shirt by The Row (that name, again), some skorts from Free People, and some very chunky loafers. But this latest fit places her at the very top of the trend alongside Austin Butler (and his workwear jackets), Jacob Elordi (and his baggy jeans), and Timothée Chalamet (and his Sambas). She also sits beside kweens like Jennifer Lawrence and Katie Holmes, who are both menswear icons in their own right.

Taylor Swift: apparently now the coolest menswearhead you know.
