It seems as though Mr Harry Styles' surname has become rather apt. Evolving from the flushed-faced teen that we cheered for every Saturday night on The X Factor, to one of (if not, the) most hyped and heralded dressers in the zeitgeist, Harry Styles' wardrobe has become almost as coveted as his inked-up torso or enviable curly 'do.

Known to shake and shimmy his way through live shows clad in custom Gucci and the odd sparkling fringe vest, the star's typically flamboyant ‘fits are more multi-faceted than they might seem. Styles dedicates a lot of his sartorial choices to challenging old-school expectations of masculinity, working to subvert gender-based dressing norms via his use of pearls, skirts, and dresses worn alongside his classic suits and wider-than-wide-leg trousers. Styles also has a well-established and ongoing collaborative relationship with GQ's own Breakthrough Designer of 2021, the non-binary creative, Harris Reed — and how could anyone forget Harry in that windswept tulle hoop skirt on Vogue's December 2020 cover?

But, alas, it's not just Styles' outlandish stage aesthetic that we so covet, but his off-duty styling prowess too. Outside of his avant-garde, oft-chest-baring performance aesthetic, Harry channels a raw, streetwise style in his everyday, often spotted on city strolls in well-executed ensembles comprised of simple, attainable pieces. In fact, much of these looks are so beloved that they wind up on a plethora of fan-based Instagram accounts, making key elements of the star's emblematic closet more accessible than ever to those style civilians in the know.

So, while we relisten, yet again, to Harry's House, we'll happily take a peek into Harry's everyday wardrobe and pick out the eleven must-have pieces that you can effortlessly lift from his collection for placement into your own. From vibrant knits seen on the streets of London to chic everyday sunnies, here's what you should look to steal from the closet of everyone's favourite X Factor alumnus.

1. That Pangaia hoodie

If you're claiming not to have seen this photo, well, we simply don't believe you. Praised by style (and Styles') obsessives just about everywhere, Harry's choice to reach for this flamingo pink Pangaia hoodie is one that has dominated social media, blogs, and many a GQ Editor's thoughts ever since he stepped out onto the streets of New York City back in October of last year.

Teaching onlookers a simple lesson in sustainable dressing between live shows, Harry's hot pink Pangaia hoodie is crafted from recycled cotton, which saves approximately 20,000 litres of water per kilogram compared to regular cotton and uses less energy during its manufacturing process. And if that hasn't sold you? Well, its blossom-inspired Foxglove pink hue will surely do the rest.

Everybody loves Ray-Bans – even Harry Styles. Spotted last month, masked, hooded, and thoroughly disguised, Harry still managed to get photographed by fans whilst wearing his Ray-Ban RB2180 sunglasses. Opting for an oversized round frame, Styles' sunnies of choice feature a sleek, flat bridge that works to emphasize and flatter his face shape whilst adding just a touch of the vintage panache the star so loves.

3. éliou's dainty Thasos necklace

If there's one accessory you'll rarely spot Styles without, other than his beloved Adidas x Gucci sneakers, it's an éliou necklace. Worn alongside some surprisingly chic eye patches and a tentacled tail, Harry Styles donned a series the label's pearl necklaces as he embodied a pampered merman in the music video for his emblematic HS3 track, “Music For A Sushi Restaurant”.

Styles' has favoured this jewellery brand throughout his promo trail for Harry's House, but this particular piece is strung with a series of freshwater pearls, balanced with an oversized (and surprisingly on-theme) lobster claw fastening. It'll elevate any outfit it's a part of to new, Harry-inspired heights, and created a nuanced distraction from Harry's wet ‘n’ wild, floppy locks.

4. More Joy by Christopher Kane's blush-worthy T-shirt

This T-shirt from More Joy by Christopher Kane doesn't mince its words. Worn by Harry as he presented Saturday Night Live, it's printed with just one word, paying homage to The Joy of Sex manual published by Alex Comfort, a work that shines a light on sex outside of mere procreation.

Also rather important to any wardrobe is an abundance of white T-shirts to form your looks around, and this particularly head-turning pick will not go amiss in your rotation. When it comes to styling, take note of Harry's look and opt for loose-legged trousers with the option of a warming overshirt for layering.

5. La Ligne's pinker-than-pink beanie

Keen Stylers may have spotted that a certain flamingo pink beanie has appeared in a number of these fan-found ensembles — and for good reason. During the colder months, Harry is rarely pictured without his trusty La Ligne Kinsale beanie sitting atop his at-times unruly curls. Knitted in a thick ribbed texture from pure cashmere, this cosy number is often the piece that identifies the ex-Directioner on his off-duty outings.

Though Harry's own fuchsia pick is long sold-out, La Ligne's pale pink version is still readily available. Offering all the same knitted glory of his vivid pink beanie, this piece takes on a softer, more delicate appeal.

If you haven't seen this topsy-turvy album cover, then we have just one question — where on Earth have you been? Having dropped back in mid-2022, Harry's first album in almost three years left fans foaming at the mouth, and quite probably sore in the index finger after smashing the ‘retweet’ button with the speed of true stans.

And yet it wasn't just the arrival of fresh tunes, nor Harry's new-found minimalistic aesthetic, that had fans swooning, but his head-to-toe Molly Goddard ensemble. Namely, the wide-legged blue Jorg jeans that had sauntered their way down the designer's runway just months before. Emblematic of Molly Goddard's nostalgic aesthetic, this pair has been designed to evoke a childlike playfulness, all of which is sealed with the single embroidered flower at the rear pocket.

Oh, the iconic North Face Nuptse, let us count the ways we love and admire the sartorial glory of thee. A modern classic, this panelled puffer was donned by Mr Styles in its most coveted vibrant saffron yellow during some off-time amid the Northern American leg of Love on Tour, once again proving that Harry doesn't do muted.

Windproof, water-repellent, and filled with a lofty down, this puffer does it all and does it well. Inspired by The North Face's own archives from the '90s, the iconic Nuptse coat is taken from slopes to street with its fashion-forward, boxy cut. Backed by both the Harry Styles and British GQ seal of approval, you could do far worse than this voluminous, panelled pick when looking for reliable winter layers.

How could we touch on Styles' adored casual wardrobe without mentioning the Rachel Green tee? After cropping up in many a fan selfie on social media, Harry's homemade take on Rachel's ‘Save The Drama For Your Mama’ T-shirt sent Styles followers scrambling to Etsy and Depop in search of a replica. And we've found the perfect one.

Whilst Harry's was embroidered by a friend for his birthday, this imitation of the T-shirt from Etsy seller ‘SewInspiredDesignsUK’ is a high-quality recreation crafted from a soft, pure cotton construction and features the emboldened motif front and centre. You know what to do.

Frequent travellers and ad-heavy podcast enthusiasts alike are sure to know all about Away Travel, and as it turns out, so does Mr Styles. Spotted stepping out onto the streets of LA with the trusty ‘Everywhere’ holdall from the brand, Harry cut a casual look in navy shorts and a scarlet red hoodie.

A best-selling silhouette for Away, the Everywhere bag is comprised of a main central compartment carried via either its faux-leather top handles (as Harry does) or its detachable shoulder strap. In a delectable navy blue nylon construction, this holdall is versatile, stylish and primed for all manner of travel.

10. Sporty Nike leggings

Known to eschew his typical on-stage offering of tasselled jackets and sequinned jumpsuits in favour of something more sporty on his days off, Styles was spotted last month in what might be his most attainable ensemble yet.

Strolling the streets of London, takeaway cappuccino in hand, Harry clipped back his unruly locks before donning a pillowy black Nupste North Face jacket, his ol' faithful Reebok Club C 85's and a comfortable pair of sport leggings from Nike. The result? An off-duty look that left us scrambling for athleisure once more… whilst also reminding us that a good pair of trainers needn't always be box-fresh.
