Palace's Ugg boots will gas up hype kids, enrage old boys, and will almost definitely sell out

Perfect for when you need to grab your daily Starbucks at 9 and hit the halfpipe at 10
Palace's Ugg boots were made for caramel macchiatosipping skaters

Upon first glimpse of the Palace x Ugg boot back in January, opinion was divided. Some thought this was prime meme fodder. Others loved the rise and fall and rise again of a shoe that was loved, forgotten then hyped up for 2023. But when really think about it, this cosy boy collab makes perfect sense.

While Ugg boots trafficked at a time when pop culture canonised the valley girl drawl and Starbucks of Paris Hilton and co, they were, originally, worn by hardcore surfers who needed to give their feet a little TLC after a long day on the waves. Lev Tanju's now doing the same, but just for skaters: the original set for which Palace was made for, and made by.

Palace x Ugg boot ‘Chestnut’

Palace

Arriving in two classic colour schemes including ‘Chestnut’ and black, both boots are lined with fur and are made out of the marque's famous sheepskin construction. Around the heel, you'll find a a slither of suede, and underfoot, the Santa Monica brand's signature ‘sugar sole’ midsole is designed to make it feel like you're walking on one big cloud. Dreamy.

Of course, you can't talk about Palace's Ugg without bringing up some of the details. Stitched with electric blue lightning bolts throughout, Palace branding is embroidered in a HEAVY METAL typeface. Which is always fun.

Palace is quickly cementing itself as the new king of collabs. From Gucci to Y-3, the British streetwear label knows how to take up the oxygen with a partnership, and this is likely to follow suit. While this marks the first time that both brands have worked together, we're pretty sure it won't be the last.

The Palace x Ugg boot collection is set to release on March 31 and will be available to cop at Palace's website and Dover Street Market locations both in London and Los Angeles. If you're in Japan, they'll drop one day later on April 1. To no one's surprise, these are going to sell out literally within seconds, so make sure you've got daddy's credit card and a venti pumpkin spice latte to hand. That's hot.
