When do the Black Friday deals start?
Keen to get stuck in? It's good to hear you're ready and waiting to buy, but unfortunately, you've still got some time to twiddle your thumbs before the sales start. Every year, Black Friday starts on the final Friday of November, following the American Thanksgiving holiday. Last year's Black Friday was the 25th of November, while this year, we'll be celebrating an internet awash with bargains on the 29th of November.
Officially, Black Friday takes place one minute past midnight on the last Friday of the month, but over the years, retailers have got far too eager to please, and have been launching discounts as early as the first week of November. Therefore, it's best to get well-prepared ahead of time so you're not caught off-guard when the great offers start. This year, the Black Friday weekend of sales will stretch over into December, with the Cyber Monday offers – the bookend to the shopping weekend – landing on the 2nd of December, presenting an excellent opportunity to get those early Christmas gifts at their lowest price.
