There's never a dull moment in the world of celebrity watch spotting and this week is no exception. Serena Williams is bowing out at the US Open in sparking AP style, Jack Harlow showed off a Rolex that isn't his beloved Sky-Dweller. Meanwhile, Adam Driver is earning major brownie points from Breitling CEO Georges Kern for his double showing in Venice, and Lionesses captain Leah Williamson matches her Euro 2022 winners medal with classic. Go get 'em.

Jack Harlow wears a Rolex GMT-Master II

Jack Harlow goes full Batman mode

The Louisville rapper deserves a medal for making it through the VMAs in full leather tailoring and a roll neck. Instead he rewarded himself with a cold Rolex classic in the form of the black and blue ‘Batman’ GMT II. With its 24-hour rotatable ceramic bezel, 40mm stainless steel case and bracelet, and twin time zone functionality. It’s a glamorous (sorry) grail watch for a man who is jetting around the globe, collecting awards, wearing supple leather,  and doing a show here and there.

Owain Arthur wears a Gerald Charles Maestro 3.0 Chrono

Owain Arthur is a lord of wristwear as well as the rings

Welsh actor and soon-to-be Lord of the Rings star Owain Arthur went for a watch that you don’t see on every red carpet. Founded by legendary (Royal Oak and Nautilus kind of legendary) watch designer Gérald Charles Genta in 2000, this small batch Swiss beauty features a hand-finished chronograph caliber, with a case design that is somehow round, square and angular all at the same time. Gerald Charles only releases a tiny run of each watch, with a manufacture movement made in Fleurier, Switzerland, and three chronograph counters for seconds, minutes and hours. A performance piece hidden in a fancy dress watch body with plenty of heritage – not bad for a harfoot.

DJ Khaled wears an 18k white gold Jacob and Co Billionaire III

Billionaire boy, DJ Khaled

When it comes to great watches, it’s been a busy few few days for the man who once live-streamed himself getting lost on a jet ski at night. First DJ Khaled got Future to rap about rainbow diamond-encrust APs in his new single ‘Big Time’, then he turned up to the VMAS in a watch that really is just that. An 18k white gold bracelet that has been hand set with 504 emerald-cut white diamonds and a custom skeletonised caliber tourbillon. Jay-Z's fave Jacob & Co has made a dress watch fit for a Miami mogul. Another one!

Serena Williams wears an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Collection Quartz

Serena Williams adds extra sparkle to her farewell

The GOAT is giving it one final go at the US Open. To mark the occasion, Nike has decked Serena out in a custom diamond-encrusted look. On her wrist, the Audemars Piguet ambassador and sporting icon is rocking one of the watch world’s crowning achievements. Serena’s personal Royal Oak Offshore is built for both speed and glamour, with a Méga Tapisserie dial (the special textured, patterned dial on the watch), a quartz movement, rubber strap and a diamond-encrusted bezel to sparkle beneath the bright lights of Flushing Meadows.

Damson Idris wears a Cartier Santos de Cartier Skeleton

Damson Idris has a skeleton in his closet

Looking like a million hobbit coins at the world premiere of The Lord Of The Rings: The Rings Of Power, actor Damson Idris offset his slick, slick, slick all-black tailoring and open shirt with a stand-out, skelotonised Cartier. One of the earliest wristwatches (1904 to be exact), the Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos Dumont asked his good pal Louis Cartier for a wristwatch that he could use while flying and the Santos was born. The Snowfall star’s version features a skeletonised bridge forming Roman numerals, and a movement that contains 138 unique parts. It's a turbocharged iteration of a Cartier classic and on Idris' wrist it's a 10/10 from us.

Leah Williamson wears a Rolex DateJust 36

A gold Rolex for golden girl Leah Williamson

Leah Williamson: England captain, Euros hero, national treasure and someone who knows a good watch when she sees one. Seasons change, empires rise and fall, England, somehow, win a proper trophy and the Datejust – a watch that Rolex itself describes as the epitome of a classic Rolex  watch – stays in style. 36mm (a great unisex size). A bit of steel and a bit of gold, that iconic window at 3 o’clock. It’s a watch that will always deliver.

Adam Driver wears a Breitling Super Chronomat

Adam Driver doubles up at Venice Film Festival

Leading man, beloved character actor, a great head of hair and the ability to turn into a Burberry horse, Adam Driver can do it all. Hanging out at Venice to celebrate his turn in Noah Baumbach’s adaptation of White Noise, Driver was seen rocking his trusty Breitling Super Chronomat by day and a Premier B15 Duograph 42 by night. A “supercharged watch for every pursuit”, the new Chronomat is inspired by one of Breitling’s most popular ‘80s models, a big boy pilot’s watch, 44mm of pure Swiss engineering. Ceramic, steel, rubber and a beautiful panda-style ceramic insert on the dial and on the chrono pushers. Upgrading to the Premier when things got glitzier on the Venetian red carpet was a smart move.
