Talking about the plot, there are many conversations about what might happen next with Abhishek Kumar and what could be in store for the village of Phulera. As reported by Jagran, Abhishek Tripathi might be transferred from Phulera, which will undoubtedly increase the viewer's curiosity. There are also rumours that Aasif Khan, who played Ganesh in the first season, might return to Phulera as the new village secretary. We can expect to see some familiar faces returning on the show.

The video clip shared by Amazon Prime a couple of months ago shows everyone’s favourite Sachiv Ji, played by Jitendra Kumar who's taken charge of a Nasha Mukti Abhiyan in the fictitious village of Phulera, Uttar Pradesh. Sachiv Ji's plans to make Phulera a better place keep getting derailed, all thanks to the different kinds of people he encounters. His latest mission is to keep the village sober. But how does he plan to execute this in a place like Phulera? His ingenious plan involves using a vehicle-mounted speaker system to broadcast anti-alcohol messages around the village and spread awareness.

However, if things were so simple in Sachvi Ji’s life, wouldn’t the show Panchayat be like any other series? So here comes another twist: the driver hired to perform the job turns out to be inebriated himself! Despite Sachiv Ji's attempts to change the plan, the drunk driver insists on continuing, assuring them that he is in control of the situation. What happens next leaves us cracking as the vehicle crashes into a tree right before their eyes.

Meanwhile, politics is heating up in Phulera taking twists and turns that make the third season look promising. A formidable opponent challenges Pradhan Ji, with Sachiv Ji decidicing to support Pradhan's family, getting more involved in the village's tricky political scene.

Talking about the show's idea, Jitendra Kumar told CNBC, “At TVF, we make the kind of shows we want to see. Malgudi Days is one of those. So we thought we should make a show on a present-day village. We started brainstorming. Someone suggested that the Panchayat is a great concept through which we could follow several characters, involve the entire village, and show a myriad of stories. We then started to think about how we could make it quirky. The show’s writer came up with the idea of putting a young urban man at the heart of it. How he reluctantly has to go to the village as the panchayat secretary — a job he doesn’t want.”

“Once we cracked the basic premise, we started wondering who could play the protagonist. Since I was there, they said I can do it. I found the whole thing very interesting — the story, the character, and everything else around it. That’s how it happened,” he added.

It is also said that the love story between the Secretary and Rinki is developing, and we will get a glimpse of it in Panchayat Season 3.

Director Deepak Kumar Mishra hinted about the third season's release date, confirming that the making of Panchayat Season 3 is ongoing. The show, consisting of eight episodes, was supposed to be released last year. However, it got delayed. There were speculations about the show airing earlier this year in January, but yet again, the release was postponed. According to Economic Times and Jagran, Panchayat Season 3 will finally air on 28th May 2024. Panchayat Season 3 stars Jitendra Kumar as the main character, along with Raghubir Yadav, Neena Gupta, Sanvikaa, Chandan Roy, Durgesh Kumar, Ashok Pathak, Faisal Malik, and Sunita Rajwar in important roles.
