James Bond is not only the most popular on-screen character in pop culture history but he's also the most stylish spy. If you’ve found yourself admiring Pierce Brosnan’s fawn-coloured double-breasted cashmere overcoat in Tomorrow Never Dies, or Daniel Craig’s one-button dinner suit in Casino Royale, then you’d be happy to know that you too can get yourself the same fits as the luxury brand behind making 007 look so dapper has inaugurated its first store in India.

Established in 1945 in Italy by visionary duo Nazareno Fonticoli, a master tailor, and his business partner Gaetano Savini, Brioni has been synonymous with modern elegance ever since. Founded in Rome and now part of the Kering group–which also has a roster of luxury brands under its belt like Gucci, Balenciaga, and Yves Saint Laurent, among others, Brioni is renowned for its bespoke Italian tailoring for formal and leisurewear, which also extends to ready-to-wear, leather goods, shoes and accessories.

Now, the Italian label is bringing that sartorial elegance to the Indian shores with its first flagship store in the country in New Delhi’s ultimate luxury shopping destination–The Chanakya Mall. The boutique showcases Brioni's extensive range of ready-to-wear clothing and accessories collections, complemented by the exclusive Bespoke service.

The brand recently hosted an extraordinary affair to launch their store with an assembly of some of the most stylish dignitaries and celebrities, including GQ’s 2023 Men of the Year star Aditya Roy Kapur, actors Dino Morea and Kim Sharma, supermodel Ujjwala Raut and Ritesh Kumar, spokesperson of DS Luxury. The event also showcased Brioni’s fall/winter 2023 collection, which fuses timeless craftsmanship with unbridled sophistication.

Apart from the archival pieces, the centrepiece of the evening was the introduction of the Brioni Bandhgala–a fusion of Italian craftsmanship with the traditional Indian menswear silhouette. The idea is to redefine men's fashion with iconic pieces that seamlessly blend heritage and modernity. So if you’re looking to build an elegant and timeless wardrobe like that of Bond or even invest in essential accessories, you know where to land now.
