Infestations can sometimes be easily identified from the outside of the structure but not all infestations seen from the outside are all inclusive. Infestations can be within the wood framing of the home, including sub areas and attic, which are more difficult to access and treat. 

The purpose of a termite inspection is to identify/support any existing termite infestations contributing to structural damage and to identify any occurring factors that may lead to new termite infestations.

Inspections vary depending on accessibility. Most homes takes around 2-3 hours to inspect. Larger homes or homes with hard to reach areas may take longer. Fumigations take as little as 3 days or as long as 6 days depending on schedule and target organism. Soil treatments and localized treatments are usually completed within the same day. It is dependent on accessibility and scope of infestation.

Soil treatment times vary. You can expect a longer service if there is concrete drilling involved or highly compacted soil. Size of structure and crawlspace accessibility are also important factors.

Localized treatment times vary based on frequency and complexity of the treatment. Additional time may be required if our technician finds additional adjacent galleries during treatment.

It is suggested to complete wood repairs prior to fumigation. This will ensure that all new wood members have also been cleared for live drywood termites. It's usually recommended to paint after the fumigation or at least one week before to allow any paints to dry correctly.

Fumigation kills drywood termites throughout the structure. Fumigation cannot prevent reinfestation. However, drywood termites take time to develop in the home. The average life cycle for a fumigation is between 10-12 years, when the colonies may reach 3rd generation or beyond (exponential growth turns into exponential damage). Proper maintenance can help delay termite progress in your home.

Depending on type of project, our warranty is between 1-3 years. Full structure treatments are usually 3 years for residential properties.
