MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough on Friday responded to President Joe Biden’s much-maligned debate performance by predicting that former President Donald Trump will win the 2024 election “unless things change.”

The “Morning Joe” cohost began his analysis of Thursday’s debate by expressing his love and respect for Biden, praising the president as “the most effective president in passing bipartisan legislation” and more.

But Scarborough warned of “how dark of a place a second Donald Trump term will take America” and said serious questions now need to be asked of Biden, given what’s at stake in November’s vote.

If Biden was a CEO, “and he turned in a performance like that, would any corporation in America, any Fortune 500 corporation in America, keep him on as CEO?” asked Scarborough.

He questioned whether Democrats need to tell Biden it’s over, adding: “These are hard questions, but the fact is, friends, failure is just not an option in 2024.”

Scarborough said, “We know Joe Biden can govern. I’ll debate that issue with anyone, and I will win. I will destroy anybody that wants to debate Joe Biden’s record over the past three and a half years.”

Biden “can run the White House, he can run the country effectively, despite the barrage of lies that constantly come at him like Donald Trump’s lies last night,” he added. “But can he run for president in 2024?”

Scarborough noted that Biden failed to respond to any of Trump’s debate lies and “missed one layup after another, after another.”
