This ergonomic office chair has lots of functions that allow you to easily adapt the chair to your body.

Height-adjustable seat allows you to adjust the height so that back and legs are at a 90° angle.

Adjustable seat depth enables proper back support and even weight distribution across the seat cushion. This prevents circulation from being cut off at the knees and reduces knee pressure.

With automatic tilt tension, your body weight determines how much resistance the backrest offers. This counter-pressure helps you keep an active posture in your chair.

Synchronised tilt mechanism allows the chair to move with you. The backrest moves more than the seat when you lean back, so torso/hips open up. This improves circulation and keeps energy levels up.

As you recline, the synchronised tilt mechanism allows feet to stay on the floor while your gaze remains straight ahead. Your chest stretches without adding pressure on thighs, improving circulation.

lovely chair apart from two design issuesAnonymous reviewera lovely chair and great value for money. sturdy and elegant. love the colour. two things would really improve the design, however. The 'safety feature' that locks up the wheels when no-one is sitting in the chair is crazy annoying - it's a heavy chair, and you have to pick it up and move it if it's in your way (or sit down in it). this sounds minor, but it's a real pain in the neck if you're hoovering, for instance. Second - the hinge that allows you to lean back in the chair is way too stiff. I'm 8.5 stone, and I have to push back HARD against the arms if I want to lean back. is there any way to loosen the tension on this feature? 4

My only complaint is that although the Allen Key which was supplied for assembly, it did not fit all bolts. Fortunately my IKEA tool kit came in useful!! Let down by poor arm designAnonymous reviewerUncomfortable hard plastic arms that move forwards and backwards under the slightest pressure, surely should have some sort of 'button' mechanism as they do for vertical adjustment. Castors move a little to easily on a laminate floor. Reasonably comfortable othewise, but early days. Seems to be a downgrade from the Markus for a higher price, though the latter is no longer available in leather. No idea how to return it now it's assembled and packaging long gone.2

This chair caused back pain - Do not buyAnonymous reviewerI bought this chair about 6 months ago and since using the chair it has caused considerable back pain to the point I can no longer use it and my well being is suffering. I noticed the pain after a few days and went about trying every combination of position including height, recline and lumbar support. I read that I needed to give the chair "a chance to adjust" to my body but it made no difference. The design of the chair is not suitable, comfort has not improved and it gives me lots of pain.1

Squeaky!!Anonymous reviewerI have had the chair for about 6 months and it has become VERY squeaky. I cannot understand how to stop it from squeaking and it is very annoying if people are asleep in the house and I am trying to be quiet! Otherwise it is ok comfort wise. The wheels are a bit stiff on the carpet which is annoying2
Waste of moneyAnonymous reviewerPlease make sure the seat is comfortable as the depth of the seat is relatively small with respect to the overall adjustable dimensions of the chair. Unfortunately, I could only realise this after assembling it to try out. Tried to return as it was not comfortable for me, but Ikea wouldn't accept the return as I assembled it.1

I prefer the firm seat cushion to softer versions I've had previously, which I've found flatten too quickly. Good value with the IKEA family discount.5
Ergonomics and adjustability are entirely let down by uncomfortable seat cushionAnonymous reviewerThis chair had so much promise in its adjustability, lumbar support, armrests and headrest. Unfortunately, the ergonomics of the chair are entirely let down by the seat cushion, which is incredibly uncomfortable and puts unreasonable pressure on the legs. This chair really needs a softer, thicker and long-lasting cushion with a more adequate roll-off at the front to take pressure off the thighs and distribute weight evenly. If you're looking for an ergonomic chair, would recommend going to a company that specialises in that, rather than Ikea. The returns policy (no full refund once assembled) is really a shame and discourages me from buying office furniture from Ikea in the future - there's no way to tell if a chair like this is really comfortable until you've tried working in it for a week.1
Great chair!Anonymous reviewerSuper easy to assemble, I’m not particularly skilled at DIY but only took about 30min. The seat and headrest are on the harder side which is perfect for me. Seat height and lumbar support work great to support good posture (I’m 5’5), the headrest could have a setting to allow it to go slightly lower. Overall it seems sturdy and supportive and perfect for work from home. Decent value for money when purchased with Ikea Family discount.5
Awful Chair, very uncomfortableAnonymous reviewerI tried this chair in the shop, and it felt very comfortable so decided to buy it. Got the chair home and can only agree with the other reviews, that this chair is awful and very uncomfortable. The seat is brick hard, the arm rests move backwards and forwards without anything to lock them. I have had this chair 3 days & tried to return it, but was told I could not as it was already assembled. They inspected it & said it was not faulty so I could not return the chair. I was told the display chair is better as lots of people have sat in it! My last 2 office chairs were from IKEA and I was always happy with them, but I won’t buy another one. I have just wasted £199, do not do the same.1
