Award-winning director and screenwriter. Assistant Director with more than 15 years of film experience in projects made in Chile, Spain, Perú, Cuba, Poland, and the United States with a special focus on productions directed by self-identified women.
Constanza's latest short film "My Independence Day" was recognized by the NBR Student Grant 2023 and won the Adrienne Shelly Foundation Award for Best Female Director (2023), the James Ponsoldt Award for Best Director (2023), a Katharina Otto-Bernstein Production Grant (2020) and Fondo de Fomento Audiovisual (Ministry of Culture, Chile) in 2022.
She's currently developing her first feature "Desierto Rosa" ("Pink Desert") which was awarded the Chilean Ministry of Culture's funds for development (2021) and for rewriting (2022). It was also selected for the prestigious "Curso de Desarrollo de Proyectos Iberoamericanos 2022" sponsored by Fundación Carolina (Spain), the "Cine Qua Non-Lab" screenwriting lab (Mexico) and the co-production workshop Este Lab (Perú).
