Wes Bergmann is among The Challenge’s greats and is considered an MTV Og due to his start on the network.
The two-time winner of MTV’s The Challenge and All Stars 3 spinoff winner debuted on 2005’s The Real World: Austin. His castmates included fellow future Challengers Nehemiah Clark and Melinda Stolp.
After multiple seasons of The Challenge, Wes announced his retirement from the franchise during CBS’ USA 2 spinoff. He was not among the cast members revealed for MTV’s Season 40.
Still, he’ll likely be rooting for his Og castmates on The Challenge: Battle of the Eras, including Johnny Bananas, Nehemiah Clark, Ct Tamburello, Jonna Mannion, and KellyAnne Judd.
They all share the commonality of starting on the now-defunct reality TV show, The Real World.
According to Wes, it’s time for someone to bring back the iconic reality TV show, although fans had mixed reactions.

Star Trek has fed our creative imaginations for the past 60 years in an endless litany of exploratory stories stretching out into strange new worlds across the intergalactic universe. And while that in itself is an entertaining prospect, the realities of the world outside often clash with the illusions of these imagined stories.

Former Big Brother winner Dick Donato has spoken out about the network’s decision to allow viewers to rewind and archive live feeds this season. According to Dick, there is only one reason they’d do such a thing. Continue reading to see what his theory is.
Fans Complain About Changes To Big Brother Live Feeds
Paramount+ has significantly changed the way live feeds are working for this season of Big Brother. They completely retooled the live feed, making it impossible for viewers to rewind and archive clips from the feeds. This has left fans pretty angry because they aren’t able to rewind and watch unfiltered moments with the cast.
Many viewers have speculated about why the network would make this change. Several people believed this was a way to control what people were able to see. It could even possibly keep the more problematic moments in the house...

Top Chef host Kristen Kish has long collected black tattoos on her arms to mark special occasions in her life.
So even if she doesn’t win, her 2024 Emmys nomination for best reality TV host, deserves some ink, she said. “100 percent. Even just the (Emmy) nomination as a first time host of Top Chef, my first nomination and the first in my entire life and my entire career, I will mark it regardless if I win or not. Because already this is one of those life moments for me. That is 1000 percent worth remembering forever,” an excited Kish told The Hollywood Reporter on Wednesday.
The Emmy nomination is especially sweet for Kish as it comes after she replaced Padma Lakshmi as the first new Top Chef host in 19 seasons, with her first season as host of the Bravo cooking show also featuring a series of key format alterations. “I can...

Emmy voters have re-lit Jeff Probst‘s torch.
For the first time in 13 years, the “Survivor” ringleader finds himself nominated in the Best Reality Host race at the Emmy Awards. Remember, he won this category four times in a row between 2008 and 2011 (the first four years of the category’s existence), but then he was strangely snubbed thereafter. In the time since, RuPaul Charles (“RuPaul’s Drag Race”) has doubled Probst’s record by winning eight consecutive trophies for hosting. Can Probst now reclaim his time in the Emmy spotlight?
SEE2024 Emmy nominations: Complete list
For this year’s contest, Probst and RuPaul are competing against Alan Cumming from “The Traitors,” Kristen Kish from “Top Chef,” and the six “Shark Tank” hosts: Mark Cuban, Lori Greiner, Kevin O’Leary, Barbara Corcoran, Robert Herjavec and Daymond John. It’s the first host nominations for Cumming and Kish, and the fourth for the “Sharks.

Once again, the Emmy Awards nominations don’t include a slew of TV favorites. Among the most notable snubs: Emma Stone for Best Drama Actress and a complete shutout of her Showtime series “The Curse.” Equally surprising was “Shogun” supporting actresses Moeka Hoshi and Fumi Nikaido missing the ballot. On the comedy side, Netflix’s “The Gentlemen” missed for Comedy Series and a forecasted bid for its star Theo James. And although “The Bear” had a solid morning overall, Abby Elliott wasn’t able to ride the wave of fortune in Best Comedy Supporting Actress. Oliver Platt and Matty Matheson were also snubbed on the Supporting Actor side.
Below, we enumerate the top 50 Emmys snubs in our estimation. These were the shows and performers that we thought had a strong chance to number among this year’s nominees. Let us know if there are others missing from this list that...

American Idol. Dancing With the Stars. Shark Tank. Survivor. They’re all major unscripted formats — and they’re all created by men.
According to a new study, which was commissioned by content behemoth Banijay Entertainment in concert with Everywoman Studios and the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, three in four reality TV creators are men. The inequity is even more pronounced in the U.S., where more than 80 percent of those nonscripted creators are male.

Survivor host Jeff Probst has lots of power on the show.
He isn’t just the host of the long-running reality competition series – he is also an executive producer who gets to make big decisions.
When new twists are introduced and new facets of the game are introduced, Jeff typically has a hand in it.
During episodes of his On Fire podcast, Jeff also speaks about what goes into the decision-making and how he thinks the game is better than ever.
A controversial choice made for the New Era has had fans divided for a while now, but Jeff isn’t ready to turn back, no matter what folks have said.
That change also had several people tell Jeff that he was “gonna kill the franchise” if he went ahead with it.

The Survivor 47 cast finally has an arrival date.
CBS released its Fall 2024 schedule, letting people know when all the hit shows return to television.
Some big news for CBS is that NCIS returns with Season 22 in October.

The new Big Brother season has Wednesday night episodes on the schedule, which will be pushed later into the evening as Survivor arrives.
But Survivor fans don’t need to worry about their favorite show losing its timeslot to anyone or anything.
When is the season premiere for Survivor 47?
Survivor 47 debuts on Wednesday, September 18. It’s the first primetime show returning for CBS, giving it room to breathe before everything else debuts.
The first new episode is two hours long, with Jeff and the producers excited about what happens during the first few nights.

Wednesday nights will be a tad complicated for the network this fall. That’s because Big Brother 26 is going to run long.

CBS isn’t eager for summer to end. The Eye network has opted to push its premiere week — normally held the third week of September — to mid-October, with one big exception: “Survivor.”
The landmark unscripted series is indeed CBS’ sole September “Survivor,” premiering its 47th season on Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 8 p.m. Et. CBS will also air sneak peeks of two more entertainment series during the month: Newbie “Matlock,” starring Kathy Bates, will get an special early premiere on Sunday, Sept. 22, while new competition skein “The Summit” will also get a Sunday sneak, on Sept. 29.
But for the most part, CBS will wait until the week of October 14 to take the bow off its fall 2024 primetime package. In doing so, it runs the risk of competing for attention right when the presidential campaign could be at its apex.

Sharon Tharp Teases Twist For Season 26
Sharon Tharp posted a teaser on X. She wrote, “A little exclusive scoop to hold you over! I’ve been hearing that there’s a 17th houseguest on the #bb26 cast.”
She later returned, adding, “I believe it’s part of a twist that will be revealed early next week. #bb26.”
So, how will the mystery 17th houseguest work for the BB26 cast? Could it be similar to how the producers introduced Cirie Fields last season?

The Challenge continues to introduce castmates who become romantic, whether dating one another during the filming or away from the show.
Among the couples that fans saw form are Leroy Garrett with Kam Williams, Zach Nichols with Jenna Compono, and Cara Maria Sorbello with Paulie Calafiore.
More recently, viewers saw castmates Horacio Gutierrez and Nurys Mateo explore a showmance on the show that led to a romantic relationship away from reality TV.
Former Survivor winner Michele Fitzgerald hasn’t had the best of luck on the show regarding men.
That included her discovering after MTV’s Season 39 that castmate Callum Izzard was exploring a showmance with her during filming, all while he had a girlfriend away from the show.
She also expressed interest in castmates Faysal “Fessy” Shafaat and Emanuel Neagu, neither of which worked out in her favor.
However, Michele may have finally found happiness with another castmate from The Challenge.

“RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” continued its 9th season on Friday, July 5 with the ninth episode featuring returning queens from seasons past. In the sister series “Untucked,” now in its 6th “All Stars” season, the queens throw back a cocktail and dish the dirt backstage on the latest challenge. Check out our recap of “Untucked” episode 9 below.
This week the queens sang and dance their way through the seasonal rusical in a psychological thriller spoof of horror film classics. Prior to the judges announcing the official top two performers of the week that would earn two coveted Beautiful Benefactress Badges, the queens gathered backstage to discuss the week and their chances at winning and who the winners might gift their giveaway badges to.
Of all the queens, Jorgeous was the most enthusiastic about the critiques that everyone received, but especially her own because on her original season she placed in the bottom during this challenge.

Survivor alum Drew Basile made such an impression during his recent Jeopardy! stint that it might have just bagged him another trip to the islands of Fiji for the CBS reality show’s milestone 50th season. Talking with Rob Has A Podcast, hosted by former Survivor contestants Rob Cesternino and Stephen Fishbach, Basile opened up about his Jeopardy! experience, how it compared to Survivor, the differences between hosts Ken Jennings and Jeff Probst, and whether he expects to be asked back for the all-star Survivor 50, which will be filmed next year. When asked which of the two hosts was more intimidating, Basile immediately said, “Dude, Jeff is so much more intimidating [than Jennings]. Jeff has been doing this s**t for 20 years, he has condensed himself, it’s his whole life. And Ken is just a regular guy.” “I mean, Ken is great,” Basile continued. “But when I’m talking with Ken,...

On July 2, “America’s Got Talent” season 19 continued with the fifth installment of audition episodes. In this initial stage of the competition, each judge is given two “golden buzzer” decisions to make where they can send an act straight through to the live shows. At the end of “Auditions 5,” 9 year old singer Pranysqa Mishra was the kid performer in a sea of impressive kid performers that earned the biggest prize.
