- GoofsWhen Lorelai and Rory tell Richard and Emily about their plans to backpack through Europe, Richard and Emily mock them as if this is the first they're hearing of it and Richard even goes so far as to forbid it because "it's not safe." However Rory told Richard about the idea in a previous episode and he thought it was a great idea and encouraged her to make sure it happens, and Lorelai had discussed the trip with Emily at one point as well when Richard's mother was visiting.

Perfect
Watching Gilmore Girls for the first time and loving the nostalgia of the early 2000s. Season 3 has really stepped up, and I understand why this show is so beloved. This episode really got me - it is perfectly executed. Normally full of wit and firing high wpm, the show slows this episode, appropriately, for the birth of Rory's half sister. We get to see a flashback of Rory's birth, interwoven with the present, revealing so much about Loralei and her relationship with her mother. Without words, we understand so much more, like how unselfish Loralei is, and how devoted her mother is to her underneath it all. We now understand completely the wounds of their relationship. Really a standout episode, punctuating a generally silly light hearted escape.
